Our Innovation Vision
for AI in SDLC

We are building an AI-enabled software lifecycle that helps enterprises understand existing systems, accelerate software delivery, and scale engineering through governed, intelligent, and progressively autonomous workflows.

Section 1

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a full-lifecycle, enterprise-aware AI-enabled SDLC that augments every stage of software delivery. We want to make complex enterprise estates easier to understand, improve traceability across the lifecycle, and help teams move faster in a secure, controlled, and governed way.

This vision is not limited to coding assistance. It spans the broader software lifecycle — from understanding what already exists, to enabling how software is designed, built, tested, reviewed, and operated.

Section 2

How We Are Realizing It

We are realizing this vision through two connected execution tracks:

Reverse Engineering

To understand existing enterprise systems, reconstruct architecture and flows, and recover hidden technical and business context.

Forward Engineering

To apply AI-led assistance across delivery workflows using agents, blueprints, guardrails, and playbooks that support teams in a structured and controlled way.

Together, these tracks create the foundation for AI in SDLC: one side builds system understanding, and the other turns that understanding into delivery acceleration.

Section 3

What Is Already in Place

The foundation is already in place.

Hexaware AI Foundry is established as the base platform for AI-led engineering.

Reverse engineering is already enabled through 20+ imperative parsers and 6 declarative platform capabilities, including Salesforce, MuleSoft, TIBCO, Appian, IBM IIB, and Oracle OSB.

Forward engineering is already active for Azure Integration Services workflows, Java Spring Boot microservices, and Spring Integration.

These capabilities mean the model is no longer conceptual. The foundations have already been built and proven.

Section 4

Our Journey So Far

Our progress has moved through clear stages of maturity:

01

AI Foundry Established

The core platform and operating foundation for AI-led engineering were put in place.

02

Reverse Engineering Enabled

Enterprise systems can now be analyzed and understood through a growing parser foundation across both imperative and declarative ecosystems.

03

Forward Engineering Activated

Blueprint-driven, agent-supported engineering is already enabled for selected integration and microservices stacks.

04

Ready to Scale

With core workflows, agents, and foundations in place, the next phase is scaling breadth, consistency, and autonomy.

This journey shows a clear progression from foundation-building to operational enablement.

Section 5

What Comes Next

The next phase is about scaling from enabled capabilities to an enterprise-grade AI delivery model. The long-term direction is not isolated AI tools — it is a governed, enterprise-ready AI fabric that supports the full software lifecycle.

01

Governance & Compliance Framework

Strengthening the governance and compliance framework to ensure AI-led engineering meets enterprise standards.

02

Hexaware AI Foundry as Backbone

Positioning Hexaware AI Foundry as the internal backbone for AI-led engineering and expanding support across more platforms.

03

Autonomous Agents Across SDLC

Moving toward more autonomous agents across the SDLC, enabling governed, enterprise-ready AI fabric for the full software lifecycle.
